Buy a Memorial Brick or Granite Stone for a Veteran
Any veteran of the United States Armed Forces, living or dead, who is or was a resident of El Dorado County and all veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are or were related to a resident of El Dorado County (regardless of where the veteran previously resided) may be memorialized at the El Dorado County Veterans Monument in Placerville.
Purchasing a perpetual memorial brick or granite stone is a wonderful gift that recognizes a veteran’s service to our nation. It also provides a place for family and friends to gather and remember the veteran.
Proceeds from memorial bricks and stones benefit the El Dorado County Veterans Coalition, a 501.c[3] public benefit organization that provides scholarships for El Dorado County veterans and their families.
This program is administered by Friends of the Veterans Monument (aka El Dorado County Veterans Alliance) which is a 501.c (3) charitable non-profit organization.
In order to create a memorial, the following information is required and must be emailed to memorials@eldoradocountyveterans.org after the “Buy Now” button is clicked:
First and last name of veteran (may not exceed 14 characters, including spaces. Do not include periods – space permitting, titles, middle names or initials and suffixes may be included. e.g., Dr J Smith Jr or J R Smith Jr).
Veteran’s rank and branch of service (see “Memorial Abbreviations” – may not exceed 14 characters, including spaces. Do not include periods).
Veteran’s awards and wars (see “Memorial Abbreviations” – may not exceed 14 characters, including spaces. Do not include periods). For Stones, two additional lines may be added (see “Memorial Abbreviations” – may not exceed 14 characters, including spaces. Do not include periods).
Name of person submitting the order.
Mailing address of person submitting the order, including: street or postal address, city, state and zip code.
Email address of person submitting the order.
Daytime phone number of person submitting the order.
Special Requests. With advance notice, multiple memorials, submitted at the same time, can be installed near one another. Please note however that memorials can be placed near one another only when all memorials are ordered together. To arrange this service, please email: memorials@eldoradocountyveterans.org.
